Gift Returns & Gifting

You may return unworn, unwashed and unaltered items purchased from Bonobos and received as a gift up to 90 days from the date of purchase for store credit and your gift-giver will never know! Alternatively, you may return items received as a gift for a refund to the gift-giver if returned within 45 days of purchase. All refunds will be processed at the original price paid for.

Please note that we don’t accept returns of items purchased from third-party retailers (Nordstrom, Trunk Club, etc.). Please contact any third-party retailer directly for information on their return policy.

To return a gift, please follow the instructions below:
  1. Sign in to your account at If you don’t have an account, please create one here or contact a Ninja.
  2. Complete our Gift Return Form found here with as much of the following information as you have: order number, shipment number, name and email of gift-giver.  If you don’t have any of these, please contact a Ninja.
  3. Once you submit your completed Gift Return Form, a Ninja will respond to your request within 2 business days with instructions for returning the gift.
  4. Once we’ve received and processed your gift return, we’ll send you an email confirmation and issue store credit to your account. Your gift-giver won’t receive a return confirmation email so it’ll be our little secret.

Unfortunately, we’re not able to process gift exchanges. If you’d like to exchange your gift for a different item, please follow the instructions above to return the gift for store credit and place a new order from your own account.

You can absolutely purchase a Digital Gift Card through the front end of our website

If you choose to send the Digital Gift Card directly to the recipient, you can select a specific date on which the gift card will be sent. The gift card will be emailed at 9am EST on that date to the address that you specify. 

You can also email the gift card directly to yourself if you would like. This allows you to print out the email and gift it later. 

At checkout, you'll be asked to provide a shipping address for your Digital Gift Card, but have no fear - nothing will actually be sent to you! Since everything on our site except the Digital Gift Card is shipped, our system defaults to needing that information in order to process your order. There will be no shipping, we promise!

We do not sell Physical Gift Cards online.  The only way to purchase a Physical Gift Card is at your local Guideshop location.

Please note that discounts and promotions cannot be applied to Gift Cards.

To redeem your Digital Gift Card, please follow these steps:
  • • Head to My Account and scroll down the page to Store Credit.
  • • Redeem the code in the section marked Gift Certificate Code above the Store Credits.
  • • After the code is entered it will automatically transfer into store credit in your account.

Please note, gift cards must be redeemed before building your shopping cart, or the credit will not be applied to that order.

It is absolutely possible to choose a date & time when you would like for us to send a Digital Gift Card to your recipient's email address. 

If you choose to send the Digital Gift Card directly to the recipient's email address, you can select any future date on which to have the gift card sent. The card will automatically be sent at 9am on that specified date.

Our checkout process intrinsically requires a shipping address for all orders, even Digital Gift Cards. We apologize for the confusion. 

Your Digital Gift Card is online-only and nothing will ship to you. If you're a new customer, the website will ask you to complete your profile (including your shipping address) before you are able to proceed with the checkout process. Existing customers will see their default address when checking out with a Digital Gift Card. Link to Article

If you send someone a gift, they will not see the prices! Our packing slips never include prices and always include a free return shipping label, so they won't see the prices of any of the items in the box and can make returns for free if anything doesn't work out.

Yes, you can absolutely send your order in a gift box if you choose. Our gift boxes cost $5.00 a piece, and can hold 1-3 regularly sized items of clothing. If you are purchasing 3 pairs of pants and 3 shirts, you'll need to buy 2 gift boxes. Head here to add one to your order!

Items unable to be shipped in gift boxes:
  • All footwear
  • Outerwear
  • Suits
